What will we accomplish?

We will be going this year with a heart to undertake practical building projects in Doi Saket - we aim to commence construction of a Community Learning Centre and Caretaker's Home with Commercial kitchen! The groundworks of plumbing, water, sewerage and electricity were completed by local Thai work teams early this year. We will also lead teams going into local schools with outreach musical presentations in partnership with local Thai Youth ministry teams. At the same time we will conduct a Pastor's Conference for the many local pastors that will come from the surrounding areas to hear and activate their pastoral and spiritual gifts.

What are the challenges on a Journey?

• Get ready to work and serve into communities still suffering from poverty and social disadvantage
• The sanitation level is basic.
• The showers are occasionally warm!
• It is essential for water to be boiled, brought in or treated for drinking. 
• We eat awesome local Thai food. It is usually spicy!
  
• The Journey to Doi Saket will be a 1/2-hour, four-wheel-drive mini-bus drive from Chiang Mai Airport. 
• Our accommodation will be western-style, in the beautiful Wang Tarn Resort. (One star resort - but acceptable!!!)

What's covered by the Ground Costs?

The ground cost donation covers everything you need from the moment you arrive until the moment you depart. This includes all water, food, ground transportation and accommodation in Doi Saket.  You may wish to bring further spending / gifts / donations finances.

Once you complete your Journey Application, we will be in touch with all important info, and our pre-Journey meeting dates! 
A Working With Children check is the only mandatory check that every participant has to have. More info on this will come to you once you have completed your Journey application.
