Vanessa, 18, (May 25, 2003), has now completed Primary School in 2021. She and eight others, including her grandmother, her mother, cousins, uncle and a new baby to Vanessa, are still living in their present home. Her grandmother is a beautiful soul who is concerned about the safety of all who enter into her home. There is a history of mental illness in her family, and although she too, struggles in school, Vanessa was dedicated to trying, but will probably head from here to TAFE or similar this year as she is now 18 and has a baby to care for. Vanessa wants to be a kindergarten teacher because she loves children. She enjoys talking with her friends and spending time with her baby. Madana, 21, (October 26, 2000), finished her final year of high school in 2020/21! Her favourite subject was French because she’s very good at it and it comes easy to her. She also really loves to read. Madana dreams of being a lawyer because she wants to advocate for people. Her favourite food is rice and beans with vegetables. The two have other siblings that live with their father. Sindia’s mother is a seller. We hope to enrol Sindia in one of Frontier Projects most exciting programs for 2018: Light for Living Training Centre,
​so that she can begin vocational training!
​Sindia and her sister Madana (above) have been homed back with their mother and father as part of our Love Family Homes program. This means that Sindia's destitute parents don't have to relinquish their daughters to an orphanage to be fed and educated. Through your sponsorship - we will be able to support Sindia and Madana and begin to assist the whole family.
Lineda Occilus 2020 - 2021
Lineda, 23, (January 1, 1998), finished high school and is in her final year of professional school for Hotelerie. She is kind and enjoys the customer service business. Lineda and her mother live together in a small house. Her sisters have moved out. She is the assistant dance instructor for the youth dance ministry at her church and she takes pride in teaching the young girls Haitian style dance. Lineda is passionate and hard working. You can often find her smiling and taking pictures with her friends. Her favourite colour is blue and her favourite food is corn.
