Despite all things COVID-19, I was blessed to still have the opportunity to travel to Haiti during 2020. With a pandemic amongst us, I packed my bag and hopped on a plane with a box of masks and a bag of gloves.

2020 Photo Journey: COMING SOON

Hey Everybody! I just finished my 2019 tour in Haiti and I'm so excited about all of the work that I was able to accomplish. I spent three months on ground, working with all of Frontier Projects' programs and initiatives. I worked alongside several Haitian leaders including Reginald Celestin, Johanne Celestin, Yndjy Belval and many more extraordinary people. It was such an honor and pleasure and privilege to spend more time in my home away from home. Unfortunately, Hait's political situation this year was increasingly more dangerous and a lot of opportunities that I was looking forward to were cancelled, but it was a blessing in disguise. I was able to experience Haiti's culture in a raw and open way, experiencing things that I may not have otherwise. Plus, I had the chance to foster and develop meaningful and close knit relationships with families, children and other beautiful people. I'm excited to be back in America, but already miss Haiti. 2019 Photo Journey:

Hello World! My name is Alyssa and I am excited to be representing Frontier Projects in Haiti for the remainder of the 2018 year! I am passionate about education, sustainability and today's youth - maybe that is why Frontier Projects means so much to me. Joining a team such as this allows me to learn and to experience culture in a way that I have never before. As an American, I have grown up in a very diverse nation. Now, I have the opportunity to travel elsewhere in the world and to be able to truly make a difference in the lives of others. That is a blessing! I believe that it is important to educate people and raise up positive influencers in our global world.

Whilst in Haiti, myself, along with the team, will launch a TSOL program to the people of Haiti. This initiative will create a source of income for Libellule Training Academy, where we provide a way for destitute mothers who do not want to abandon or relinquish their children to an orphanage, to recover their dignity and hope through vocational training and business-development opportunities. The program supports Haitian parents so they can keep their families together and undertake this training - building them into the community and assisting them until they are able to provide for themselves and their children.The initiative will also provide opportunity for others in the community who are willing to advance themselves.

It is my goal to listen to needs and to become an effective member of the community. Your support in aiding this mission would mean everything, not only to myself and to Frontier Projects, but to the beautiful people who are trying so hard to save themselves from a cycle that was not designed to help them. In just two weeks on the 2017 Journey of Hope, my life was changed, I was made whole and I fell in love with the nation of Haiti and its people. I am beyond excited for this upcoming adventure as it gives me the chance to serve an underprivileged, yet resilient community of people who deserve the chance to prevail. These mothers, these children and these families deserve hope; a hope that many of us have been so blessed to know. Thank you for journeying with me! (2018)

2018 Photo Journey:

In 2018, I landed in Haiti and I quickly already jumped into several ministries that impact different communities. I worked hard with mission teams to provide meaningful experiences for children and families, taking time to learn Haitian Creole, traveling around Haiti and truly immersing into the community and culture. Thank you again for being a part of my journey and for watching me grow in the Lord.
